This addition was the third project for this customer. We did this whole addition in house from the foundation to the shingles. This project had a couple challenges since the original farm house was over a 100 years old. We had to sister the floor joist and add a beam to hold the added weight of the new kitchen. We also opened up the original kitchen to the new sun room with a new beam to hold the second floor and roof. The inside had a couple architectural finishes to keep the flow of the existing finishes. We refinished and added an old glass 6 panel door the owner had saved and installed it as an interior window from the sunroom to the living room. We also added some custom baseboard, casing and a crown molding build up. This addition was very much needed and had changed the make-up of the home.
